Assistant Manager/Manager- Buyer, Product, Procurement Job (E-commerce), PJ, Selangor, Malaysia

Seeking for management professional with at least 5 years’ experience in home & living industry, procurement/product sourcing experience in Malaysia & China. As there would be a heavy liaison with business in China, the role is looking at someone who is Chinese literate. As the nature of the business is on eCommerce, candidate with exposure with eCommerce business operation and have a knowledge of the players in the market would be highly desired. The job is based principally in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia and willing to travel on occasional basis especially to China.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Identify, develop and qualify new suppliers globally especially within China, SEA, Europe, etc.
  • Manage sourcing responsibility in building the product portfolio as well in managing the demands
  • Responsible for supplier management like database, audit, evaluation, corrective actions, cost reduction, quality assurance and etc.
  • Provide excellent communication and price negotiation management like multiple quotation.
  • Take an initiative to achieve annual KPI goals in procurement.
  • Manage purchasing programs to obtain purchase at the most economical cost, consistent with approved quality and standards
  • Work effectively and efficiently together with the management team to ensure that the products procured would fit with the company business direction.
  • Involve in develops products by identifying potential products; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing marketing strategies.



  • Diploma (with extensive working experience) or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, or its equivalent
  • Minimum of five years of experience in procurement, buyer, and/or product & supply management.
  • Experience in Home & Living industry is a must and exposure in eCommerce business nature would be advantageous.
  • Fluency (written and spoken) in English and Chinese is essential.
  • Excellent with proven track in sales communication and negotiation skills
  • Capability to lead and manage a team which would be advantageous on a longer run.

Salary range starts from RM8,000 to RM12,000 depending on our experience.
